Purpose Statement:
Awana exists to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Membership/ Constitution:
- Children grades K through 6 regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or church affiliation. Sparks is grades K through 2 and T&T is grades 3 through 6
- Club expenses: payment for the vest or t-shirt and for the handbook..
- Awana "clubbers" participate in a "Christian Scouting" environment with uniforms and standard opening flag ceremony, working through handbooks built around Scripture memory and context, Bible stories and lessons, and games; rewards include "Awana Shares" for use at "Awana Store" and various recognition awards/trophies.
- Awana meets from 6:15 to 8:00 on Wednesdays from mid-September through early May.
Responsibilities and Objectives:
Awana teaches the Word of God and its context and application to the children while providing a fun, safe environment to enjoy a church experience; Awana exists to provide adults experience in leadership, fellowship and a strong sense of community.
